Health and Wellbeing Week

We’ve had a wonderful week starting back for Health and Wellbeing this week.  The children have been introduced to Emotion Works and the various emotion characters, had tennis taster sessions, free breakfast, Live N Learn workshops on healthy bodies and minds, Heart Start training for P7s, yoga and finally Jammin’ Fitness today.  The children’s citizenship groups have also led on our various aims and will feedback at assembly next week.  Many thanks to all who have supported. Class blogs will be updated with photos over the next week.

Live N Learn

A reminder that we have our Parent Workshop from Live N Learn today at 2.30pm in the hall. This will go over some of the work they have been doing with the children on Growth Mindset and this week on Healthy Living for body and mind.

We hope you will be able to join us.

Welcome back and Health and Wellbeing Week

We look forward to welcoming back all the children to our new term in 2020.  A reminder that we start the year with our annual Health and Wellbeing Week.  There are a lot of activities planned for the week which were detailed in the December newsletter.  On top of this we have also managed to arrange Yoga sessions for Thursday.  It all starts tomorrow – Monday, 6th January from 8.15-8.45am when we hope you will be able to join us for some free breakfast in the hall.

Christmas Service

Many thanks to all who came to our Christmas service this morning.  We had some lovely congratulations for another excellent performance.  They were super!  Thank you also for the kind donations for the Highland Hospice which we raised £150 for.

Wishing all our families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to welcoming you back on January, 6th for our Health and Wellbeing focus week.

Youth Shinty

Youth shinty training starts Wednesday 8th January – P1-7 indoor at Craigmonie Centre – Glenurquhart High School hall – 5pm – 6.30pm ( just for month of January) Indoor trainers must be worn, remember water bottle and training gear.

U14/17’s on AstroTurf at normal time 6.45-8pm

Vote for us

The Gaelic class have made an amazing film to enter in to the Film G competition.  One category is decided on votes and we’re asking if all families would consider voting for our school to win and getting wider family members to vote too.  You can vote as often as you like and all you have you to do is click on the tick.  We’re up against some of the big Gaelic schools so need as many people voting as possible.  The film can be found here: – http://filmg.co.uk/en/films/2052/ and we feel shows off our local area – ‘Our Perfect World’ really well also.  Big well done to the Gaelic class and Mrs MacVicar.

Christmas Service

Our Christmas service takes place in the Church of Scotland tomorrow, starting at 10am.  All parents, families and community members are warmly invited to attend.  Please could P3-7 children wear school uniform for this performance as we realise this would normally be a dress down day. We look forward to seeing you there.
