Soirbheas Photography Competition
Please find details of a photography competition being run by Siorbheas below.
As we are currently unable to take part in activities, we are holding a photographic competition as a way of raising morale and inclusion across our communities at this strange and challenging time.
In short, the aim of the competition is to encourage local people to share their experiences and activities they undertook during lockdown. These photographs will celebrate our natural environment, our people, and our projects, all the things that make Glen Urquhart and Strathglass special.
Open now until midnight on the 19th June 2020. Entry classes for under 18’s and adults. For anyone resident in our boundary areas of Glenurquhart and Strathglass, and photos must have been taken during the lockdown. Winner in each category will receive a £50 voucher for themselves, and nominate a local charity/constituted group to receive £100. There is also a bonus prize draw for members, and folk can join so as to be entered.
Learning Across the Four Contexts
Today, the teaching staff met online and were discussing all that we have been doing to promote the four capacities – successful learners, confident individual, responsible citizens and effective contributors as well as, ideas for moving forward. This was a great way to realise how busy we’ve been and recongise how we’re also continuing our to show our school values and vision – Guiding, Uniting and Promoting Success!
Do you have any ideas you could share? Let me know by email – kerrie.laird@glenurquharthigh.org.uk
